Have spent the day with Andy trying to get the Vespa to start. Conclusion: the immobiliser won't detect the RFID key. 19:55:37, 2012-02-02
Solutions; 1) replace pickup coil 2) replace immobiliser (+key & locks) 3) replace CDI with one from a bike that doesn't use an immobiliser. 19:57:53, 2012-02-02
Option 4 is; find a working bike that uses the same CDI, attach a bus-pirate to the serial line and replace the immobiliser with an Arduino. 19:59:26, 2012-02-02
