• Am logged onto Twitter from Ubuntu in the workshop. Ooooooh~ 01:19:43, 2010-10-18
• Ubuntu recognizes the bodged-together card reader, Windows gives an error. 01:20:24, 2010-10-18
• Card reader is a USB pass-through reader meant to plug onto the side of an Epson printer. Trimmed down case, looks tidy. 01:21:39, 2010-10-18
• Suits me fine. Just need the CF socket under Linux for a little project. 01:23:09, 2010-10-18
• Tried testing the stall-current of the robots motors. Exceeds 10Amps. High as the meter goes. 01:24:15, 2010-10-18
• I also sheared 3 different pins trying to jam the wheel. Hardened steel ok eventually, but it still bent it 90degrees. 01:25:59, 2010-10-18
• Stall-current should be 15Amp or over for a 12v 180Watt motor. Will need to find a shunt to up the meter range. And calculations. 01:28:18, 2010-10-18
• Will also have to find perfect fit hardened steel pins for the drive shafts. 01:29:19, 2010-10-18
• Still, needed castings came out ok today. Some more to do tomorrow still. Livestream also went well. 01:32:33, 2010-10-18
• Webcam not auto-working under Ubuntu. Not too bothered yet. Hope to change cam soon anyway. 01:43:16, 2010-10-18

• XP can split mic input, but not webcams. Looks like it's SplitCam or Manycam for that job. SplitCam *sounds* less resource-hungry. 22:41:52, 2010-10-18
• Don't know if progs under Linux can share webcam sources or not, since cam not working on Ubuntu at all yet. 22:42:40, 2010-10-18
• Today has been epic failure. Nothing done at all, woke very late. Also another ulcer and top lip cracked and stinging. 22:43:26, 2010-10-18
• Okay, split webcam to Livestream & motion-tracking script, run servo control to Arduino board. Should all be just setting the right I/Os. 23:08:21, 2010-10-18
