  • For the first time in a long while my hair is so short I don’t need to brush it after a shower
  • Uncapping another beer with my zombie-survival spatula, eating chocolate in bed and reading old copies of Transmet, distracting myself.
  • From now on I’ll do something nice for myself when I feel like shit, rather than indulge the well-reinforced sense that I deserve it.
  • The worst thing about not living in your own place is having to get *dressed* at 2am just so you can go take a piss.
  • There’s rage in me. Exhausted and muffled in the day, but making my fists flex and cut nails into my palms at night when all else fades.
  • That frustration that only let’s you sleep when your body succumbs and admits there’s boiled tears garrisoned at the corner of each eye.
  • They wait there, cold and damp, unmoving reminders of what’ll come tomorrow but you dare not think of in the day.
  • In the day you have energy. In the day you could act. In the day you could change something & throw yourself into a horribly alien world.
  • Habit is the safe zone we make for ourselves, wether it’s safe or not. Familiarity comforts us.
  • I fear the future of immortality. Ever more powerful elders, holding the world static and comforting to them, their rosy glasses in control.
  • A world only needs the passing of one generation for a situation to be seen as normal. But normal is not always good or desired.
  • Immortality. A tiny world of geriatric oligarchy. A planet ruled by ancient racist aunts and uncles you’d avoid at christmas dinner.
  • No hiding in the corner sucking on an xmas beer bottle to avoid them, but in your face. Centuries of wealth and power forcing you to listen. 03:31:34, 2013-11-19
  • People powerful enough and driven enough to live forever are almost certainly both enough to ensure they stay that way. 03:32:51, 2013-11-19
  • The old literally fighting the new, clawing to keep their bit of the world comfortably familiar. 03:34:33, 2013-11-19
  • And now I realise. This wasn’t meant as satire but genuine concern about society and progress in a posthuman future. 03:36:24, 2013-11-19
  • Then the fucking cheeky part of my brain says “sounds like modern corporations doesn’t it, hohoho”. You utter bastard. 03:38:20, 2013-11-19
  • A distopian nightmare with its knees shot out from under it by self-induced comparisons to shitty pop-protest diatribe. 03:40:34, 2013-11-19
  • Sure, they’re conceptually the same. Like a snowball hitting you in the face and a town being erased by an avalanche. 03:43:52, 2013-11-19
  • Both have you end up with ice where your eyes should be, but one’s a lot more personal than the other. 03:45:13, 2013-11-19
  • Corps are dumb lumbering beasts that chug slowly along bending laws to their benefit. Immortals will have that power, but a personal touch. 03:47:14, 2013-11-19
  • No lobbying sweeping tax cuts or favourable trades; this person hates this particular band so it’s blacklisted & illegal to play in public. 03:50:19, 2013-11-19
  • This other eternal monarch had a beef with your great great grandmother, so your house gets condemmed. Your living family curse. 03:52:17, 2013-11-19
  • Because if the Greeks taught us anything it’s that gods love to fuck with mortal lives. Lightning bolts for all dissenters. 03:54:01, 2013-11-19
  • Corporations only get that personal under personal control. & that diversion of resources eventually puts them at odds with the corp itself. 03:57:06, 2013-11-19
  • To turn a corp against a single person is slow suicide for the person steering it there. The dumb beast has bigger more sweeping worries. 03:58:52, 2013-11-19
  • Fear the future immortals. Those with more power than god, more bile than Warren Ellis, and the 1000yr old opinion on what is legal to read. 04:01:54, 2013-11-19
  • I’m bored of myself now. Sleep. The sleep of those doomed to wake. Another morning already growling angrily below the horizon. 04:04:14, 2013-11-19
  • Another day of trudging into the workshop. Of feeling guilt for the power used to heat it. Of guilt for not finishing the wood-burner yet. 04:05:56, 2013-11-19
  • Fear. Fear of finishing anything. What if it fails & my hatred is justified? What if it succeeds & my familiar comfortable hate is jarred? 04:08:30, 2013-11-19
  • Fear of both succeeding and failing in equal amounts, they would cancel out if it were physics. But in emotions; only paralysis. 04:10:40, 2013-11-19
  • Run away little boy, go hide in distraction and fantasy. You know eventually your unguided body will choose for you. Avoid free will. 04:12:44, 2013-11-19
  • Avoid at all costs making an explicit choice. What if you’re wrong? What if you’re right? 04:14:09, 2013-11-19
  • If you’re critical tho every choice is wrong. You just have to look hard enough. Let it sit on your chest & smother you as you try to sleep. 04:17:40, 2013-11-19
  • Just lay there clutching your fists involuntarily as your heart stabs at your rib-cage. Aching spasm’d muscles from the knot of hate inside. 04:20:54, 2013-11-19
  • Know thyself. Familiarity breeds contempt. 04:21:40, 2013-11-19
  • Remember; one day you be old & dying. Family will come to you. Everyone will see your ancient cock hanging out under the hospital robes. 04:28:18, 2013-11-19
  • No one will say anything, but they’ll all know. They’ve all seen it. They’ll ignore it. This concludes tonight’s Death Cock tweets. 04:38:34, 2013-11-19
  • I just want my mind to stop running. Claw back enough hours to see daylight when I wake. But no. Overwhelmed with nervous energy. 05:02:47, 2013-11-19
  • Every night is like this. The beer has just made me care less enough to record it. 05:04:04, 2013-11-19
  • Lucid, exhausted, vulnerable, furious. The trains will be running again soon. The sky lightens. Traffic sounds increase. 05:06:15, 2013-11-19

  • Last I checked the Kopin displays needed a proprietary chip, but here we are. I know exactly what I need now. Who wants a HUD? 17:50:07, 2013-11-19
